Jehovah's witnesses in Costa Rica

What makes a moment unforgettable in your case? Most people considered a moment unforgettable by the people, the place and how the even happen. These 3 elements intertwined together in Costa Rica's capital San Jose... You see last weekend my wife, and I witnessed a very positive event; 27.800 people gathered to study the Bible together in the national stadium.

So many individuals in the same place and yet the order was outstanding; the atmosphere was wonderful. I would have been amazing if you had been there! Those who traveled from a far distance were many. There were many visitors from different U.S., we also had missionaries from countries such as Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico and others.

The theme of the special convention of Jehovah's witnesses was: Safeguarding Your Heart. There were 50 very encouraging educational speeches in three days, designed to stimulate listeners to be aware of the importance of protecting the heart of the poisonous influences of this selfish world where we lived in.

And most importantly develop a personal relationship with our loving Creator.

The delegates were received with great joy and were flattered with typical regional dances and food. The clothes of those who participated in the dances were done in a very artistic way... the dresses had drawings of birds and butterflies and flowers that characterize this small country.

We had very special weather during these three days, there was no rain ... what a blessing!

 

The nearly 28,000 attendees were excited to see a real-life drama and an audio drama that was presented on Friday and Sunday. I loved the drama of Sunday titled: What is true love? So many people are desperate to find the right partner for life, and yet they face many obstacles in the process. Most people will agree that is quite difficult to identify and choose the "Right" partner for life. The drama helped everyone in attendance to see that only if we apply biblical principles, choosing a good spouse would be easier, and we will have the wisdom to make the right decision.

Who does not want to be happy in marriage? The truth of the matter is that everyone can make it in this regard. We just need to follow and appreciate as well as to apply the Bible's counsel. That was a wonderful drama!

Visitors were encouraged to rely on biblical principles as the source of happiness. Of these 360 were baptized in this special convention. Jehovah's witnesses experience a magnificent growth. Every week on average, there are nearly 5000 people get baptized as Jehovah's witnesses worldwide.

 

Nobody is forcing them to make this decision it is entirely personal. The witnesses come from all walks of life, ordinary people, lawyers, doctors, scientists, of all professions you can imagine, all united for the same purpose to praise the Lord of the Universe Jehovah God!
