The Arenal Costa Rica

This is My Family
On the fourth day after arriving in Costa Rica, we decided to take a trip of four days, with our final destination to the beaches of Conchal. A wonderful place. We left Palmares in the province of Alajuela about 8:45 am.

We decided it was a good idea to slow down in our way there. So we could enjoy 360 degrees view.
We were delighted to see the semi-dormant volcano called Arenal. The lake is also called Lake Arenal. This is located near the Arenal Volcano. This is a very nice trip lasting about 3 hours.

The road is wonderful. It is amazing to see the different landscapes that seamlessly blend with the colors and smells of nature; the fresh fauna makes this journey one of the best I've done in my life. Here are a few photos.

This is a very tourist place. People from many places around the world come to visit Lake Arenal.

There are boats trips and sailboards. Some of the tours last about two hours. This lake is perfect for windsurfing because of the warm waters and strong winds. Fishing is excellent as well, Rainbow Bass, member of the cichlid family, is one of the most species found in the waters of the lake. Their tasty white meat and make them a challenge and delightful - to fish.

Along the road

Lake Arenal is located 10 miles (17 km) from La Fortuna, 66 miles (106 km) from Monteverde, and 87 miles (140 km) of Liberia. Those going from Arenal / La Fortuna to Monteverde can take a boat across the lake, a faster alternative to bypass the lake shore.

This trip is by far one of the best trips I have done. Near the volcano, you can enjoy the hot springs. A beautiful place with many pools of hot natural water that spring down from the volcano.

You will fall in love not only with the trees that shade us tourists but also the whole cinary along the side of the off the road. It is very interesting to be there. You should come and see it for yourself.
