Las Chorreras Rio Blanco COSTA RICA

Humanity is deeply in love with the water. We love to play in the waves on the beach. It is fascinating to play in a river, and who would say no to a glass of water on a warm day. As you well know water is very important for all of us. It is for this reason that thousands of tourists take their time and travel to exotic places to enjoy the water in its various forms. Are you one of them?

Many of them go to the National Park Rincon de la Vieja which is located in the provinces of Guanacaste and Alajuela. It is located within the conservation area of Guanacaste. The park contains the volcano to which it owes its name: the Rincon de la Vieja volcano.

This national park covers 14,084 acres, its home to an intriguing combination of volcanic geology wonders, pristine tropical forests as well as covering six areas of life.
This park is located 27 kilometers from Liberia, the capital into the Guanacaste region.

The park is one of the most remote reserves in the country. The volcano gives its name to the stands of 1,916 meters above sea level and is actually from the union of nine craters that exploded at the same time millions of years ago.

This national park extends to both sides of the mountain- range of Guanacaste both the Caribbean and the Pacific and is divided into two sectors, Las Pailas and Santa Maria.

Thanks to the volcanic activity and differences in height, the place can sustain many ecosystems.

Inside the park, you can find the Cataratas las Chorreras. The frilly flows into the Blanco River, a great place to enjoy a swim or just admire the beautiful surroundings. The White River is one of the three rivers that crosses the park to the double cascade of Las Chorreras.

If you are reading this last line, you are certainly interested in knowing more about this beautiful park, and its water falls.
