Turtle Island - COSTA RICA

Isla Tortuga COSTA RICA

Si estas leyendo estas líneas es porque sin duda estas interesado en saber un poco mas de la Isla Tortuga.

Que te podre decir sobre este lugar? Primeramente que Es un lugar muy lindo que se preserva su valor natural. hay muy pocas alteraciones por influencia del ser humano al medio ambiente.
A muchos turistas les gusta mucho descubrir que no hay habitantes a excepción de los guarda-parques.

Esta Isla es de hecho una reserva forestal. Las embarcaciones con turistas que llegan, deben llevar desde la comida hasta el agua que van a utilizar y recoger absolutamente todos los desechos cuando dejan la isla. No hay hoteles ni cabinas. No hay permiso para pasar la noche en la isla. Solo para visitarla.

El gobierno de Costa Rica ha toman todas estas medidas para conservar la naturaleza, los arrecifes de coral y la limpieza de las aguas. Maravilloso no le parece?


Ubicada a 12 millas de Puntarenas, Isla Tortuga posee una extensión de 120 hectáreas, esta se mantiene como un bosque protegido, el cual goza de la Bandera Azul Ecológica, distinción que se entrega a algunas playas por la pureza de sus aguas y porque están libres de continuación.
Isla Tortuga se compone de dos islas, la Isla de Alcatraz, con forma de tortuga y la isla de Tolinga.


Desde la distancia, mar adentro, semejan quelonios, de allí su nombre que significa tortuga en la antigua lengua huetar, perteneciente a los indígenas que poblaron parte del Pacífico Central.
Las tranquilas aguas turquesa de la isla dan paso a una idílica playa de arenas blancas de más de 500 metros, rodeada de majestuosas palmeras verdes, un verdadero paraíso tropical.


Desde hace varios años, abundan las empresas que ofrecen tours de un día con música a bordo y alimentación incluida. Puede buscar en Internet para un día de vacaciones. Son de hecho sus aguas de tono turquesa, las cuales son ideales para nadar.
