Surf in Costa Rica

Every time I'm at the international airport of San José Costa Rica, I always see many tourists with their surfboards. Both men and women from around the world come to Costa Rica to enjoy this sport full of excitement and adventure.

In fact there are many beaches in Costa Rica that are the favorite destination for those who practice this sport. Some of these beaches are just to name a few Jaco Beach, Playa Hermosa, Playa Grande and Playa Tamarindo.

For many who do not practice the sport of surfing it is an unknown fact that Costa Rica hosted the World Surfing Championship 2009.

They were 80 million people around the world that watched the live action of the best surfers in the world in four languages.

In fact tourism surfer who visits Costa Rica currently accounts for 20 percent. According to data generated by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism.

If you like this sport ... and want to come to Costa Rica one of the favorite places for this is Playa Hermosa. What can you expect from Playa Hermosa?

On this beach the waves are consistent, it is ideal for any type of surfers. Many know this beautiful beach as a paradise for surfers. There are waves to challenge anyone even for advanced surfers, no one is discriminated against. You can always have a good time here.

It does not matter if you are a beginners or an intermediate Surfer. Surfers of all levels of talent can enjoy the waves in Costa Rica round the year.

In all these beaches there are a lot of hotels and restaurants where you can have a good time. Even if you do not practice the sport is fun to see the guys and girls do their surfing.
