The Blue River in Costa Rica

There are many things I have not seen and have lived here 30 years my uncle told me the other day. Just as there are many Ticos who are in the same situation.

Undoubtedly, there are many places in Costa Rica that are to be seen. The interesting thing is that this is a very small country and has much to offer. In fact, The Entornointeligente.com indicated that in the first quarter of this year's tourism revenue totaled $ 809 million, this is the highest amount recorded in a single quarter in the last 13 years, and it was 13% higher than the same period of 2011.

Many tourists and Costa Ricans are interested in discovering the mystery of the Rio Celeste in the Tenorio Volcano National Park in Costa Rica, Guatuso canton in the province of Alajuela, where you can enjoy all the beauties of the rainforest and its attractions.

What to expect when you get there? It is very important to have good shoes as you walk by approximately 4 hours or about 7 miles to see the amazing Rio Celeste waterfall.

Why is the River blue? The origin of the color is more in the composition of the water flow which carries elements such as copper and sulfur.

What else can be expected of the tour? Visitors can see several lakes and the main attraction The TeƱideros, where two streams of water with different minerals and natural chemical composition from the forest, mixed and change its color to blue turquoise.

It's very interesting to see this! For those who venture into this excursion you will enjoy the river of thermo-mineral waters, where they can take a relaxing bath before going home.

Another attraction is the Refuge "Las Pumas".On the Inter-American Highway is the Shelter Las Pumas, a nonprofit project, which is responsible for hosting cats injured or confiscated from illegal traffickers to help them recover.

A pleasant way to see almost all species of cats in the country. The price of some of these tours is $ 95 USD for Adults and Children: $ 76. The good news is that many of these excursions include a delicious typical lunch. It seems very expensive to me. But what can you do about it? This is what they charge.
I would like to know your opinion of the Rio Celeste.
