Hot Springs in Costa Rica

On our fifth day in Costa Rica, we had a great time in the hot springs of Arenal. Right in front of the volcano!
The name of the place is La Fortuna de San Carlos.

Thanks to the geothermal activity around the place there are several places to relax and to have fun with friends and family. The site offers space for camping, besides that there are many areas where you do a cookout. With plenty of tables to eat and electric outlets available to plug your iPad and listen to your favorite music. The place is just a delight!

If you have a very stressful job, these hot springs offer an excellent opportunity to forget about work and get the necessary rest to recharge.

There are many hotels in the area the charge between $75.00 to $250.00 a night. However, I feel that we came ahead when we pay a one-day pass for just $10.00 U.S. Dollars. We stay all day long.
One thing I like is that given the fact that these waters are as medicinals because of all the minerals they contain; The health ministry forbids people with skin diseases to bathe there. This protects the heath of the tourist.

Everyone who visits this place is amazed by the beauty of the place. Most of the hot spring in the area will give a front view of the volcano it is just spectacular.

They have different temperatures ranging from 76 º to 96 º F. Some of the pools do go a bit higher; the temperature will vary between each pool of 96 º to 103 º F.

The hot springs waters are cationic composition as a result of low potassium. The level of sulfate, calcium, sodiums are suitable for our body.

In view of this, many people around the world visit these places around the Arenal Volcano.
Both my wife and I really liked the place because is perfect to have a good time as a family, besides is not so full of people. It was not disorganized, rather; the place offers rest and tranquility. If you asked me what do I think about it, I will recommend it.
