Jaco Beach Costa Rica

Where else to go? Ask with curiosity. We will take you to Jaco beach this is a place full of activity said my tour guide.

We start driving from Palmares Alajuela to Jaco beach. The scenery along the road is full of green vegetation the nice breeze from the ocean starts manifesting itself as we come down from the mountain. I must say it was a very interesting trip. Just about one hour before reaching our final destination we stopped at a bridge famous for crocodiles.

I was told the government feeds them. Tourists stand on the bridge and look down with great curiosity, waiting for any movement. Here I am attaching a picture so you can see it.

Before we got on the car we chilled with a cold coconut; they make a hole on it, and you drink it with a straw...not too bad for a dollar.

It was about 10:45 am when we arrived to Jaco Beach. The first thing anyone will notice is the size of the waves.

Jaco has a great atmosphere with thousands of tourists from around the world visiting. Besides having much activity due to the large amount of tourist the natives do not stay far behind. It is common knowledge for them to take a weekend and drive to these beaches have a family time and get the necessary rest and be back to work on Monday without major difficulty. It is relatively easy to do this every once in a while.

Jaco is one of the most popular beaches in Costa Rica. It is located in the Puntarenas province along the Pacific Coast Midwest. It has a reputation as the "Party beach" because there are many places to dance Salsa, Meringue, Disco or any kind of music, thus making this place quite fun.

Many of the tourists who end up moving to Costa Rica take notice of the casual and relaxed way of the inhabitant here. Although we did not spend the night, I was able to see that they have many restaurants and hotels to stay, There are also many tourism centers to help you organize your stay. You might want to take a horseback ride or do some water sports such as fishing or kayaking in the sea.

This beach is well known as the waves are large and consistent. Each year it holds a tournament in nearby Playa Hermosa that attracts a large number of surfers from around the world.

Jaco experience is pleasant; I would recommend it. However, that does not mean that caution is to be taken likely. You need to be careful. It is best to investigate prior to visiting. Smart people always take precautions.

I would like to know your opinion about their experiences in Jaco. Did you like it?
