Puntarenas Costa Rica

We came to visit Costa Rica on 26 January 2012 of this year our return date to the United States was on February 14. On the way to Costa Rica we were talking on the plane about our expectations. Who we will meet? What kind of food we will eat? Is it as beautiful as we hear people say?

So, we got in the Airplane with high expectations and with the idea of having a good time. Did they meet our expectations? I think so. But one must admit that those days were spent flying.

Has this ever happen to you, you get to this new place and the first thing you do is say that pretty! Where do we go first? When we arrived the first thing we did was take a good and rich chicken soup.

The next day we went to Puntarenas which is located about one hour and ten minutes from Alajuela where the Airport is located.

Puntarenas is a province of Costa Rica, located in west and covering most of the country's Pacific coast. It borders the provinces of Guanacaste, Alajuela, San José, Limón and Panama. Coco’s Island, located 550km to the southwest, is part of the province.

Puntarenas is the largest province of Costa Rica and is connected to the rest of the country by land routes. It has a ferry that crosses the Gulf of Nicoya.

We had a great time! We ate enjoy the sunset. It was nice ... but best was yet to come. We were just beginning to enjoy the good company as well as meeting very nice people.

Have you ever been to Puntarenas? What do you like best about being there? You can comment on my blog your thoughts.
